    Presentation Objectives:

If it has been more than a year since your business has reviewed its Employee Handbook, it’s time to see whether your day-to-day business practices have deviated from your actual written policies. As a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic, employers find themselves needing to add time-sensitive topics like an Infectious Disease Policy, Telework policy, Medical accommodations, as well as updates to leave policies. Let's talk about the ever-changing regulations, at the federal, state, and local level, that need to be addressed.

    About the Speaker:

Leslie Elsner Bell, a seasoned professional, has more than 20 years executive-level human resources experience and expertise. As the leader of Elsner Bell & Associates, LLC, she has frequently used her experience to benefit small to mid-sized organizations, particularly those without in-house HR staff or those needing supplemental staff for expansion or specific human resources-related projects.

She has been instrumental in the completion of 15 mergers and acquisitions and was responsible for the staffing strategies that resulted in the growth from 180 to 2,000 employees in two years at Sylvan Learning Systems, Inc. Leslie has been quoted in The Baltimore Sun, Folio Magazine and The Washington Times for her expertise on employee handbooks and recruiting issues. She has also been a guest speaker for chambers of commerce on relevant Human Resources topics.  As an active HAHRA member, she loves giving back by sharing her expertise with our chapter.
