    Speaker Bio:

Dan Lieberman is a partner in the Lancaster office of Cipriani & Werner, PC.  With over 21 years of experience, he concentrates his practice in employment law matters and workers’ compensation litigation

While representing employers in all aspects of workers' compensation claims, Mr. Lieberman often utilizes a comprehensive risk-management approach by addressing other overlapping legal areas such as the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act and the Pennsylvania Unemployment Compensation Act.  He handles workers' compensation cases throughout Pennsylvania, from the initial filing of a claim through the appellate process and settlement.

Dan also represents employers in claims for discrimination, harassment and wrongful termination before the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission and the Pennsylvania Federal District Courts.  He routinely advises clients on issues of discipline and discharge, willful misconduct, policy violations, positive drug tests, absenteeism, tardiness, unsatisfactory job performance and insubordination.

Dan is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania.  He is the former chair of the Lancaster Bar Association Workers' Compensation Section and maintains active memberships in the Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations.

In addition to his legal practice, Dan has served as an adjunct instructor at the Lancaster Campus of Harrisburg Area Community College for over 10 years and was a member of the Lancaster City Police Foundation Board.

He received his B.S., cum laude, from The Pennsylvania State University in 1994 and his J.D., cum laude, from Widener University School of Law in 1997.
