Topic: Overcoming the Stigma of Mental Health Issues in the Workplace
Do you ever feel unprepared to deal with employees' personal and/or mental health issues? This presentation will describe common signs and symptoms of employee distress, and strategies for intervention. We'll also discuss ideas for using a variety of internal and external resources to reduce stigma and ways for you to find support in addressing these issues.
About our speaker: Holly Morreels
Holly is a Coordinator for WellSpan EAP. She holds a Bachelor's degree from Juniata College and a Master's in Counseling form Johns Hopkins University. She has many years of management and supervisory experience in for-profit, non-profit, higher education, and healthcare organizations. She has frequently managed during times of transitino and change. Holly's experience also includes clinical work as a therapist and Clinical Director in a variety of inpatient and outpatient mental health and frug treatment settings. Before joining WellSpan, she also worked for 10 years with individuals and their families who've been impacted by trauma and violent crimes including homicide, domestic violence, rape and sexual assault, and child abuse.
