    Please join us as our panel discusses a number of public education initiatives/challenges and how they impact education and workforce readiness.

    Jim Baker, Senior Consultant HR Services with The Manufacturers' Association, will facilitate the discussion with the following expert panelists:

    • Dr. Rebecca Harbaugh - Superintendent of Conewago Valley School District
    • Dr. Al Moyer - Superintendent of South Middleton School District
    • Dr. Barbara Rupp - Superintendent of South Western School District
    • Will Tallman - PA State Representative

    The panel will discuss the following topics:

    • No Child Left Behind initiative and revisions in PA Dept of Education PA School Performance Reports
    • How Cyber Charter Schools are impacting local school districts
    • How "hold harmless provisions" of education funding in PA impacts local school districts
    • PSEA (teacher's) pension impact on local school districts

    As part of our fall charitable giving, HAHRA is asking our members to bring any of the following items to our October and November meetings.  These items will be sent to Operation Stars & Stripes as part of their current campaign:  Operation Holiday Stockings
