The effective dates for the employer mandate/shared responsibility requirements under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) have been delayed until January 1, 2015 for employers with 100 or more employees and until January 1, 2016 for those with 50 or more (but less than 100).

Please join us as the Employment Team at Stock and Leader present a review of the most significant compliance issues, including:

    • How to determine your number of employees and whether you are subject to "Pay or Play"?
    • What about part-time, seasonal and other employees who work irregular hours?
    • Which employees are eligible for coverage?
    • Does your plan meet the requirements for "Minimum  Essential Coverage"?
    • Are your employee contributions "affordable"?
    • Will any of your employees be eligible for government subsidies?
    • What are the penalties for non-compliance?
    • What tools are available to assist small employers in providing coverage to their employees?
    • What are the considerations for a small employer in determining whether to drop coverage and have employees access the exchanges?
